Celebrating that sweet baby bump with ice cream & all the color murals around one my favorite areas in Atlanta. The couple shared with me that their nursery theme was going to be ice cream, so of course, we HAD to include ice cream in our maternity photo session. We went near Krog Street Market in Atlanta and found some beautiful colorful murals and walls in the area for great backdrops to pictures. Then we ended the session ordering ice cream cones and getting some playful photos of the soon-to-be parents eating the ice cream.
I absolutely love personalizing your family and maternity photo sessions so that they are not only meaningful but also truly representative of who you are as a family. Incorporating little touches that reflect your unique personalities can make all the difference. For example, getting their favorite treat, like ice cream, at the end of the photo session was the perfect way to celebrate the sweet little baby who would be joining them in just a couple of months! I really enjoyed photographing this sweet family for an at home newborn photo session. This mama had such a distinct style and I loved to see how her home had tons of special, personal touches throughout their living space, the bold and bright colors she dressed in, the baby’s corner of the room decorated, even the floral swaddle and bright orange bow on baby girl’s head. Bold, bright colors can transform a newborn session, adding vibrancy and energy that enhance the overall imagery. Infusing rich hues with the outfits and swaddles draws attention to the delicate features of the baby, creating a stunning contrast that highlights their innocence. By incorporating these lively shades, the photographs capture the beauty of new life, making each image a captivating keepsake that families will cherish for years to come.
Did you know that all the beautiful indoor photos were taken right next to just one window? I discovered one large window with fantastic natural light in the guest room, and that was really all we needed to create these stunning and memorable pictures. Additionally, they had a magnificent magnolia tree in the backyard of their home, which I used as the primary backdrop for the wonderful outdoor photos we captured together. I love looking around and finding the unique space in your home that will work well for our photo session.
Additionally, during a newborn photo session, flexibility and calmness are key to creating a soothing environment for both the baby and the family. Babies can be unpredictable, and their needs often change from moment to moment.
